Swayze was lost in Fort Collins, Colorado in April of 2021. He was a rescue dog who was fearful of strangers. Swayze quickly went in to survival mode (fight or flight), anyone who approached him would cause him to flee the area. He was very quick to disappear into thin air! We were asked to jump in and help his owner, about a month after his disappearance. Swayze would prove to be a difficult case. His owner, with the help of friends & volunteers, spent hours getting signage up to inform people what to do if they saw him, which was not to chase or approach but call immediately so we could map his sightings. We were able to establish a feeding station with cameras. Swayze would travel different areas but would always return for his food. Despite someone trying to continuously interfere with our efforts, on 7/28/2021 we finally were able to capture Swayze in our 4th gen Missy Trap. Today Swayze is living his best life & continues to thrive with his owner.
